Who for: Practitioners
from local and regional organisations, interested in ensuring their
message gets across clearly, effectively and memorably.
Topic: As pressure on
funding increases, it becomes ever more vital to communicate what you
offer to partners and what your information means on the ground.
This course will provide practical guidance on how to improve your
communication, including how to make your messages stick when giving a
presentation, and help with your presentation of data and figures.
You'll see examples of good (and bad!) practice, learn some simple do’s
and don'ts and have opportunities to put the underlying principles into
action. There will also be easy-to-use crib-sheets of key points for
you to take away and help improve your skills.
Speakers: The day will be
led by Nicola Underdown from the Association of Regional Observatories
and Warren Pearce from Regeneration East Midlands with support from
practitioners in the region.
Date: 10th December 2009
Time: 9:30 – 16:45
Venue: Jury's Inn, Nottingham
